Karina Kambulova

Mezzo Soprano

Karina Kambulova creates more than performances—she creates spaces for intimate encounters through music. A mezzo-soprano based in the Netherlands, she performs internationally. Her voice is distinguished by its warmth and depth, combined with a quiet intensity that draws the listener inward. She completed her Master’s degree at the Maastricht Conservatory (cum laude), following earlier studies in Moscow. On stage, she has appeared as Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera at Zomeropera Alden Bilzen and in many other concert performances across Europe. Her repertoire includes roles such as Larina (Eugene Onegin), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Second and Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Ulrica (Un ballo in maschera), Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus), Zanetto (Zanetto), and La Princesse de Grenade (Les Brigands), Ježibaba from Rusalka by Dvořák.

She performed in Haydn’s Nelson Mass with the Lewisham Choral Society and the Frisian Chamber Orchestra. Alongside her operatic career, Karina is passionate about creating her own projects—spaces where music becomes a shared and intimate experience. Three times a year, Karina organizes special concerts for around 150 people, where the atmosphere feels less like a traditional concert and more like a uniquely shared moment: a space where friends and strangers come together and listening becomes a form of connection. Through music, she explores her identity and invites others to do the same. Her concerts offer quality time and foster a genuine, human exchange.

The path to this point has not been straightforward. Sharing her experience allows others to discover new sides of themselves. The audience is international, forming a diverse and evolving community. Within this group of new art lovers, she is shaping an ongoing dialogue—a space where people feel free to be themselves, open to new perspectives, and open to one another. And perhaps that is the essence of her initiative: to bring people together where connection happens naturally, through music.
